All About Reading’s Pre-Reading Program
All About Reading’s Pre-Reading Program is a gentle early literacy program for pre-readers. This program is designed to teach pre-k students phonemic awareness, letter names, and letter sounds.
AAR Pre-Reading may be a great fit if:
Your child is 4-5 years old.
Your child does not know most of the letters of the alphabet.
You want an open-and-go early literacy program that meets your child’s developmental needs.
AAR Pre-Reading may not be the right choice if:
Your child already knows all their letters
You want a program that your child can do independently.
Your child benefits from workbook practice.
You can check out a detailed look inside All About Reading’s Pre-Reading Program in my YouTube video.

I also have a Foundational Reading Instruction Guide and Video Library. If you will be teaching your child to read, this guide walks you through how children learn to read, what to look for in a reading curriculum, pacing suggestions, and instructional strategies to use with any reading program. I developed this guide after years of working with homeschool families so that you will have the information and tools you need to feel confident and successful.
