All About Spelling
All About Spelling is a tried-and-true, ystematic and explicit spelling curriculum based on Orton-Gillingham methods. This program has seven non-grade-specific levels for students of all ages.
All About Spelling may be a great fit if:
You want a straight-forward, open-and-go program.
Your child benefits from moving letter tiles around to spell words.
You have a child who benefits from additional review activities.
Your child struggled with a different program.
You have an older student who struggles with spelling.
You are using All About Reading for your foundational reading program.
All About Spelling may not be the right choice if:
Your child is just beginning reading instruction.
You want a program that your child can do independently.
Your child benefits from workbook practice.

Do you have a struggling speller?
Check out my blog post, What to Do When Your Child Struggles with Spelling: A Weekly Routine.
I also have a Spelling Instruction Guide. It is a 20-page guide for selecting, implementing, and making the most of a spelling program.
While some excellent, evidence-based spelling programs are available, many children need more than what is outlined in a single program.
This guide walks you through spelling curriculum options, pacing, and instructional activities and addresses the questions I hear most from clients about spelling. It also includes a weekly spelling checklist to use during your planning.
